50 years ago today I swam in the sea in my underwear.
I put jeans on over my wet knickers,
and a tee shirt over my see-thro nylon bra,
and walked along the sand. The tide came in,
and we were stranded on the island.
The others with me had seen it all before,
and knew a rescue boat would come
and it did.
There was an evening chill and a sea breeze,
but I had warm arms around me, hot breath on my neck,
the attention of a handsome stranger.
The heat in my cheeks may have been from our day in the sun.
or from the surprise of passion within me.
It was the most exciting day of my life.
