Haiku Sonnets

Rain

I tolerate Rain

A necessary feature

For life on this earth

I must accept rain

As it drenches the parched earth

As I’m walking home

What I really want

Is multicoloured raindrops

Playing on harp strings

Instead it hammers

Monochrome and monotone

On my umbrella

What I really want

Is a rainbow at the end

Kaleidoscope Dreams

Imagine floating

Into a kaleidoscope

Where all the colours

Dance around the light

Reflecting patterns of life

That were lost before

In forgotten days

When life was multicoloured

Wild and exciting

Find that special place

In your mind and hold it still

So you can be there

Any time at all

In your kaleidoscope dreams
