And there’s a pounding in your head
At least it’s only a cold
But you’re getting tired of sneezing
And the snot is turning greener
And now you’ve started wheezing
It’s not pneumonia or ‘flu
Cos you’ve had your vaccine shot
It’s just a Rotten Common Cold
With Rotten Common Snot
You take some paracetamol.
You buy more paper tissues.
You try some decongestant but
it gives you stomach issues
Well at least it isn’t Covid
