Through the mirror
There is stillness, order, calm
And flawless beauty
Everything the same
Just the other way around
No smells or sounds
A different point of view
The sky a deeper shade of blue
Through my eyes
There is chaos, fear, confusion
Nothing left, or right,
For me to see
Just a never ending climb
Toward an unknown scene
Hoping for a different shade of green
Senseless mornings
Endless nights
The stench of solitude
pours out of each window
The deafening silence
rushes in from the street
When this is over
What will the New Normal be?
What will crack first
The mirror? Or me?
